The famous Anti-Scam song. Yahoo Yahoo boys (cyber scammers) are not smiling right now lol.. That culture got so furious at this record, it was interesting reading comments on NotJustOk, comments from people presenting moral justifications for “419′” culture. At some point, it got personal between the visitors to the blog, something like a religious divide. That made me wonder how deeply rooted the culture really must be. Far more than i thought anyways.

i was chatting with a friend the other day over this record and he brought up some interesting points. most compelling of them all, was his notion on how the Chinese generally regard Nigerians as the “Maga”. I lost contact with my Chinese buddies from college, so really i don’t know how true this perception is, but one thing is for sure – there are a lot of fake goods coming into Nigeria from China.

This song is part of a campaign to repair the tarnished image of Nigerians as cheats and non trust worthy people. I thought it was brilliant.
