Big D – No Contest Feat. General Pype

Davies Obiekea, popularly known as BigD is looking to hit the music scene with a big bang by consistently releasing dope records. He hails from Delta State, Nigeria and has been writing rhymes for over a decade.

He believes strongly in the tenets of true hiphop and wants to participate actively in its sustenance. His inspiration comes from a barrage of artistes including Methodman, Redman, DMX, Eminem, Royce da 5’9, Modenine, Guru, Common and the list goes on. To show people what he’s about, BigD has dropped 2 new and banging singles. The first, titled No Contest features Dancehall heavyweight, General Pype and was produced by Sossick. The second single is titled “it is just rap”.

BigD’s No Contest is a ‘dancehall meets rap’ song, which was inspired by the need to create something for the “club hoppers” in Nigeria and beyond. The song produced by award winning producer Sossick features Gen. Pype (who better to drop on a dancehall track), who did his thing without a doubt. According to BigD “No contest was just another track that I felt the need to brag on and murder”.
