Monday, February 9, 2009 21:10Seems like most artists nowadays are now recording sax versions of their hit songs.
Recording a sax version for a hit song definitely makes the song more appealing to a much more wider audience – non targeted audience in some cases. Take Bigiano’s “Shayo” for example, while spinning for a much more mature audience, i.e your grandpa’s 100th birthday..it probably might be a bit inappropriate to spin the original, but i surely can spin the sax version..why? because it’s a sax joint, and old folks love em some sax too, maybe even love it enough to like the original – and take a break from their usual Ayefele stuff.. That’s how powerful a sax version can be.
correction: The original post credited Yemi Sax – another great saxophonist for this work. The saxophonist on this track is OJ Sax, as mentioned in the beginning of the song. Shouts to kola for pointing that out.

as you can hear in the beginning of this song,the sax guy is not yemi sax.i jus called yemi to comfirm and he said that this is not his work.the saxophonist on this track is oj sax and not yemi sax.maybe oj will be the new thing in the naija sax remix thing but plz get ur facts right…
