Funk music did make its rounds in Nigeria – around the 70’s through the mid 80’s. I’m talking about some funky garage disco boogie Woogie stuff here guys. Most of you reading this probably weren’t around then, but there’s a whole discography about that era.

I’m going to keep today’s lecture short and save the juicy details for another time, perhaps on some Funky Mix covering the golden years of Funk music in Nigeria. For now, just enjoy some good old rare funk music from Terry Mackson. These joints were taken off his “Weekend Love” LP.
